These fish are my absolute favorte for one big reason. The fight is about as good as it gets here in the mid west. Peak season for these fish for quality and numbers is mid May through July. It stays good until late December but May and june is where we see the most fish over 10 pounds.

When it comes to Crappie, we have a very special big fish opputunity on Cheney. My prime time for high numbers of big fish starts in mid December and runs until mid March depending on how quickly it warms up. We are targrting these fish in deeep water over structure with livescope. The average size fish this time of year is between 13 and

Your opportunity at a 3 pounder is best in febuary and early March

When it come to walleye I recommend Cheney for size and Marion for numbers. The average size on cheney is around 22 inches where Marion is about 18 inches. I consider May and June my prime time to target walleye for numbers. If you want a giant with a lower fish count, i recommend a trip in November to target them with livescope in deeper

Our spring cat season unuslly starts in mid March when it starts to warm up and normally lasts into late May. This is a shallow water bite with great chances of landing a 40 pound plus blue cat. We release the bigs but we harvest the eatig sized blues under 28 inches. There is a good bite through the summer for channels cats and then the Blues are back in the late summer or early fall. Again it is the same, Cheney for a potential trophy amd El Dorado for higher numbes of smaller eating sized fish.
